Ruth Maier
Ruth Maier was an Austrian-born artist and writer, born in 1920 in Vienna. Known for her creativity and artistic talent, she fled the Nazi regime in 1939, seeking refuge in Norway. Unfortunately, after the Nazi occupation of Norway, she was arrested in 1942 and subsequently deported to Auschwitz, where she was murdered. Her life and tragic story have been commemorated through various artistic expressions, including the recent chamber musical 'Briefe von Ruth,' which highlights her experiences and contributions.
