Saadoun Sabri Jamil Al-Qaisi
Former Iraqi Major General Saadoun Sabri Jamil Al-Qaisi was a high-ranking official under Saddam Hussein's regime, known for his involvement in significant human rights abuses. He held various key positions, including Director of State Security and Director of Security in Basra and Najaf. Al-Qaisi was implicated in the execution of prominent figures, including cleric Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, and was involved in the killings of numerous members of the Islamic Dawa Party. After fleeing to Syria following the fall of Saddam's government in 2003, he returned to Iraq in 2023, where he was arrested and subsequently executed for his crimes.
