
Safet Zajko
Safet Zajko was a Bosnian-Herzegovinian soldier and war hero, born on March 1, 1959. He was a member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a recipient of the highest war decoration, the 'Golden Lily.' Zajko played a significant role in organizing armed resistance in various neighborhoods of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the Hero of the Liberation War and promoted to Brigadier General after his death in combat on June 17, 1993.
