Safiur

Safiur is one of the martyrs of the Language Movement in Bangladesh, which aimed to recognize Bengali as one of the state languages of Pakistan. He is remembered for his bravery and sacrifice during the protests on February 21, 1952, where he, along with other students, faced police brutality while advocating for the preservation of their mother tongue. His legacy is honored annually on International Mother Language Day, reflecting the significance of linguistic and cultural identity in Bangladesh.
