Said Athumani Kiondo

Said Athumani Kiondo is the Commissioner General of the Zanzibar Revenue Authority (ZRA), responsible for overseeing tax collection and compliance in Zanzibar. He has recently been in the news for announcing that the ZRA exceeded its annual revenue collection target for the 2024/25 financial year, achieving Sh861.88 billion against a projection of Sh845.98 billion. Kiondo attributed this success to intensified tax compliance campaigns and the implementation of improved systems, highlighting significant economic growth and effective tax administration under his leadership.
