Saif Alden

Dr. Saif Alden is a dedicated veterinarian and team leader of a mobile clinic operated by the charity Safe Havens for Donkeys in Gaza. He has been at the forefront of providing medical care to animals, particularly donkeys, which are essential for transportation and survival in the war-torn region. Alden's clinic has treated over 7,000 donkeys and thousands of other animals since the outbreak of the current conflict in October 2023. Following an airstrike that destroyed their clinic, he and his team persistently scavenge for the necessary tools to continue their operations, embodying resilience and commitment to animal welfare in a time of crisis.
