Saleh Jahija

Saleh Jahija, a 62-year-old father of seven, lives in the same impoverished community as Džamila Rabea. He has witnessed the worsening conditions in Yemen since the cessation of food aid from the World Food Program two years ago. Struggling to support his family, he collects and sells recyclable materials while his sons work as day laborers, illustrating the extreme challenges faced by families in conflict-affected areas.
