Salem Al Saad

Salem Al Saad is a Syrian Druze who fled his home country in 2014 due to the civil war, having served as an officer in the army under the regime of Bashar al-Assad. Following his desertion from the military, he and his family settled in Dresden, Germany, where he works as an engineer and actively engages with the local Druze community by founding the association 'Drusen in Sachsen.' Al Saad has been vocal about the ongoing violence faced by Druze in Syria, particularly in his hometown of Suweida, and has expressed deep concern for his family's safety amidst the escalating conflict.
