Salim S., a 31-year-old resident of Nice, gained attention for participating in a punitive expedition alongside his friend Khemais O. to retrieve a stolen pair of sneakers valued at 160 euros. Although he claimed to have accompanied Khemais out of loyalty without taking part in the aggression, he was nonetheless charged and sentenced to one year of home detention under electronic surveillance due to his involvement in the incident.
