Salomon Ruben Enriquez

Salomon Ruben Enriquez (1815-1886) was a prominent Danish painter known for his contributions to the Golden Age of Danish art. Born into a Jewish bourgeois family in Copenhagen, he studied under the notable artist Christopher Wilhelm Eckersberg. Enriquez's work often explored themes of femininity and the human form, exemplified in his painting 'The Florentine in Front of the Mirror,' which recently became a significant addition to the Glyptoteket in Copenhagen, enhancing the museum's collection of 19th-century Danish art.
