Salvador Ciges

Salvador Ciges is a 72-year-old artist and cartoonist who became a victim of the devastating floods in Valencia, losing 300 of his paintings when the floodwaters swept through his neighborhood. Ciges and his family were forced to escape the rising waters by climbing the patio walls to seek refuge with a neighbor. Following the disaster, he has been vocal about the need for accountability and justice regarding the authorities' handling of the flood response.
