Samantha Crawford, a 44-year-old resident of Salton Village, Corentyne, Berbice, recently made headlines after her two-storey home was destroyed by a fire believed to have been set intentionally. The incident left her and another individual homeless, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Guyana Fire Service is investigating the case, and one person has been arrested in connection with the arson.
