Samir al-Mashharawi

Samir al-Mashharawi is a 12-year-old boy from Gaza who recently became a symbol of the tragic impact of the ongoing conflict in the region. Following an Israeli airstrike that killed his parents and siblings, he was found crying in the back of a truck, his head and wrists bandaged, mourning the loss of his family amidst the violence that has significantly affected civilians in the area.
