Sammie

Sammie is a central character in Ryan Coogler's film 'Sinners,' portrayed by Miles Caton. He is the blues-loving son of a disapproving preacher, who finds himself at the center of a supernatural conflict when he performs at a juke joint opened by his cousins, the Smokestack twins. His guitar, a gift from them, symbolizes the deep-rooted history of Black music and culture, as his performances attract both admiration and danger in the form of white vampires.
