Sammy Obingo

Sammy Obingo was a prominent Kenyan football administrator, known for his transformative role in the country's football landscape. Born in 1949, he served as the Secretary General of the Football Kenya Federation from 1986 to 1996, during which he significantly contributed to the growth of football in Kenya, including overseeing the hosting of the All-Africa Games Football Competition. Obingo was remembered as a mentor and leader who prioritized community service and youth development in sports until his passing at the age of 77.
