Samuel James

Samuel James is the president of the Antigua and Barbuda Free Trade Union (ABFTU), known for his advocacy for workers' rights and representation. He has been at the forefront of a legal battle since 2018 to decertify the Antigua Trades and Labour Union as the representative for workers at the Antigua Port Authority. Recently, he publicly condemned a secret ballot conducted by another union, claiming the process was unlawful and expressing his intention to challenge the Labour Department's actions in court if necessary.
