Samuel Mbakwe

Samuel Mbakwe (1929-2004) was a Nigerian politician who served as the governor of Imo State from 1979 to 1983. Known as the 'Weeping Governor' for his emotional appeal for the development of his state, he was a strong advocate for the rights of the Eastern region and played a significant role in Nigerian politics during the Second Republic.
