Šandor Čanić

Šandor Čanić is a 71-year-old man who recently returned to his native Montenegro after spending over six decades in Hungary. Born in Bar, Montenegro, he moved to Hungary with his family at the age of three. A former bus driver and bank security guard, Čanić was actively involved in advocating for the rights of the Serbian minority in Hungary, serving as the president of the Serbian minority self-government. His deep connection to his childhood memories of Montenegro, combined with a desire for a simpler life, prompted him to relocate back to the country of his birth.
