Sandra Hernández was a dedicated mother and activist who searched for her son, Édgar García Hernández, who was kidnapped in Culiacán, Sinaloa, in February 2012. Tragically, she was murdered on May 12, 2014, due to her relentless activism in seeking justice for her son and other victims of violence in Mexico.
