Sanjeev Khirwar

Sanjeev Khirwar is a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer who has recently been appointed as the municipal commissioner of Delhi. He previously served as principal secretary (revenue) in Delhi and was involved in a controversy in 2022 regarding the timing of training sessions for athletes at Thyagaraj Stadium, which led to his transfer to Ladakh. In Ladakh, he played a key role in managing health and medical education. His new responsibilities in Delhi will include addressing administrative challenges and managing issues related to stray dogs.
