Sansan Kwan

Sansan Kwan is a professor and chair of the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been involved in academic leadership and decision-making processes within the department, including handling course offerings and faculty engagements. Recently, she came into the spotlight for her decision to not host Israeli dance researcher Yael Nativ for a course, citing campus climate concerns amid rising tensions regarding Israeli-Palestinian issues.
