Santiago Gallón Henao was a notorious Colombian drug lord linked to various narcotrafficking operations and criminal activities. He gained international notoriety for his alleged connection to the assassination of Colombian footballer Andrés Escobar in the early 1990s. Gallón was arrested in January 2018 and faced multiple charges related to drug trafficking, including the shipment of cocaine to Europe. He was also implicated in forming paramilitary groups and was listed on the U.S. Clinton List for financing criminal organizations. He was recently reported to have been murdered in Mexico.
