Santiago Mas-Coma

Santiago Mas-Coma is a prominent expert in parasitology and a collaborator with the World Health Organization (WHO). He has been involved in significant research concerning infectious diseases, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters. Recently, he led a multidisciplinary team from the Universitat de València that identified around 30 infectious agents in the area affected by the catastrophic flooding in Valencia, which could pose epidemic risks in the coming year.
