Santiago Reyes Villaveces

Santiago Reyes Villaveces is a Colombian artist known for his innovative installations that explore the relationship between urban landscapes and their geological histories. He studied art with a focus on plastic arts and history at the Universidad de los Andes and obtained a master's degree in sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London. His recent exhibition, 'El Hueco', at the Galería Santa Fe in Bogotá, recreates the streets of the city, highlighting the symbolism of urban chaos through the depiction of potholes and uneven surfaces. Reyes aims to provoke reflection on the socio-economic disparities within urban environments and the continuous transformation of the city's landscape.
