Santiago Sanchez Sebástian

Dom Santiago Sanchez Sebástian is a Spanish bishop of the Augustinian Order, currently serving as the prelate of Lábrea in the Amazon region of Brazil. Born in Navarra, Spain, he arrived in Brazil in 2006 as a missionary and has since dedicated his life to promoting the spiritual and ecological values of the Catholic Church. Ordained as a bishop in 2016, he expressed great joy and hope regarding the election of Pope Leo XIV, the first Augustinian pope, anticipating a continuation of the mission-oriented approach of Pope Francis.
