Santos Rodas

Santos Rodas is a former director of the Hogar Seguro Virgen de la Asunción, a state shelter in Guatemala. He was recently sentenced to prison for his role in the tragic deaths of 41 girls in a fire at the facility in March 2017. Alongside other ex-officials, he was found guilty of culpable homicide and other charges related to abuse of authority and negligence, following a court ruling that highlighted systemic failures in the care of vulnerable children.
