Sara bin Safwan

Sara bin Safwan is a contemporary artist and one of the graduates of the 'Burdah Grant' program. She played a significant role in curating the exhibition 'As the Sun Appears to the Eyes from Afar' at the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, which showcases over 60 contemporary artworks from winners of the Burdah Award, celebrating twenty years of the award's establishment. This exhibition emphasizes the evolution of Islamic arts, including Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation, and represents a collaborative effort aimed at promoting cultural empowerment and knowledge exchange across borders.
