Sara Yuliana Zambrano Maya, a 15-year-old girl from Pasto, Nariño, survived a horrific incident in July 2025 where she and another minor were set on fire by a group of young individuals. As a result of the attack, 80% of her body was burned, leading to extensive medical treatment, including 71 surgeries and multiple infections. Her family continues to seek justice, as the alleged attackers remain free, and they face significant emotional and financial challenges due to her condition.
