Sarah M. was a 26-year-old American who worked in the Public Diplomacy department of the Israeli embassy in Washington since 2023. Her passion lay at the intersection of peace promotion, religious engagement, and environmental work, and she previously researched peacebuilding theories for an NGO in Tel Aviv. Sarah was in a relationship with Yaron L., and they were reportedly on the verge of engagement when they were both tragically killed in a shooting incident after attending an event in Washington, D.C.
