Sarah Sjostrom
Sarah Sjostrom is a highly accomplished Swedish swimmer and one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the sport. With a remarkable record of 23 medals in individual events at the World Championships, she holds the distinction of being the most successful swimmer in this category. Sjostrom has set numerous world records, including in the 50m and 100m freestyle as well as the 50m butterfly. Her career highlights include winning six Olympic medals, three of which are gold, and her outstanding performance at the 2022 Paris Olympics solidified her status as the fastest female swimmer in the world. In addition to her athletic achievements, she is also known for her determination to continue her career after becoming a mother, as she recently announced her pregnancy with her husband, Johan de Jong Skierus.
