Sarah Wilczynska

Sarah Wilczynska is a former software engineer who made a surprising career shift from a promising role at Google to pursue her passion for watercolor painting. Born in Warsaw in the 1980s, she transitioned from a communist to a market economy, earning a master's degree in computer science. After working for several years in London and Zurich, she moved to New York to contribute to Google’s news division. However, feeling increasingly disconnected from her work, she resigned during the COVID-19 pandemic and embarked on a year-long journey through Southeast Asia, where she discovered her love for watercolor art. Now based in San Diego, she runs her own art studio, creating original pieces and focusing on the impact of her work rather than traditional measures of success.
