Sarat Chaminda Udaya Kumara

Sarat Chaminda Udaya Kumara, a 57-year-old resident of Eranavila in Mitiyaagoda, was recently in the news following a shooting incident at a local restaurant where he was fatally shot. Reports indicate that he was among two individuals targeted by assailants on motorcycles. Udaya Kumara was also a candidate in the upcoming provincial council elections, running with an independent group, although authorities have stated that the shooting was not politically motivated. Prior to this incident, he had been arrested and remanded for involvement in a previous homicide.
