Sariban

Sariban was a dedicated environmental activist from Bandung, Indonesia, who devoted over fifty years to addressing waste management issues in the city. Born in Magetan, East Java, he moved to Bandung in 1963, where he worked at Cicendo Eye Hospital. Known for his daily routine of collecting trash while riding his bicycle, Sariban became a local hero recognized for his efforts in keeping the city clean. He passed away on the first day of Ramadan in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of environmental stewardship.
