Saris

Saris is a resident of Dukun, Magelang, Central Java, who is currently mourning the loss of her brother, Hasyim, after a destructive lahar flood caused by heavy rain from Mount Merapi. On March 4, 2026, she sat on a rock by the Senowo River, watching search and rescue teams continue their efforts to locate her brother and two other missing victims, while grappling with the grim reality of the situation as hope faded for his survival.
