Sasha Trofonov

Sasha Trofonov, a 29-year-old Israeli, was recently released from captivity in Gaza after enduring 498 days of imprisonment. He was abducted during a brutal attack on his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, where he was shot in both legs. Throughout his captivity, he was unaware of his father's fate, and upon his release, he learned that his father, Vitaly Trofonov, was killed in the same attack. Sasha is now returning to his family amid overwhelming emotions of joy and grief.
