Saskia de Rothschild

Saskia de Rothschild, born into the illustrious Rothschild family, is the first woman to lead Domaines Barons de Rothschild (DBR) Lafite, combining her family's long-standing tradition in winemaking with modern sensibilities. After studying journalism and initially pursuing a career in media, she returned to her roots in viticulture, taking over the family business in 2018. Under her leadership, the winery continues to innovate while focusing on sustainable practices and producing exceptional wines, including a collaboration with the renowned Argentine winemaker Nicolás Catena. Saskia's humble lifestyle and dedication to the craft reflect a desire to honor her family's legacy while also carving out her unique path in the wine industry.
