Sattar Behlulzade

Born in 1909 in the Amirjan settlement of Baku, Sattar Behlulzade was a prominent Azerbaijani painter known for his historical genre works. He studied at the Moscow State Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture and created notable pieces such as 'Babek Uprising' and 'Defense of the Bazz Castle.' Despite not completing his diploma due to World War II, Behlulzade's work later focused on romantic depictions of Azerbaijani nature, showcasing his evolution as an artist.
