Sawsan Alomar is a Jesidī woman whose family's harrowing experiences during the genocide of the Yazidi people in Iraq have been documented in the ARD film "Bêmal - Heimatlos. 10 Jahre Völkermord an den Jesiden," which recently won the Stern-Preis for its significant contribution to documentary filmmaking.
