Schimon Peres

Schimon Peres was a prominent Israeli statesman and politician who served as both Prime Minister and President of Israel. A key figure in Israeli politics for decades, Peres was instrumental in the peace process with the Palestinians, co-authoring the Oslo Accords alongside Jitzchak Rabin and Yasser Arafat, for which they received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994. Known for his vision of a peaceful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians, Peres continued to advocate for peace and innovation in his later years until his death in 2016.
