Sean Martinez

Sean Martinez is an American national master and chess coach from New York with Puerto Rican heritage. He began playing chess in sixth grade at I.S. 318, a school renowned for its successful chess program featured in the award-winning documentary 'Brooklyn Castle.' Martinez founded 'Pushing Pawns,' a company that provides chess coaches for youth in New York. He recently gained attention for participating in a historic chess marathon, where he, alongside Tunde Onakoya, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon by playing continuously for 64 hours.
