Sebastião Camargo was a prominent Brazilian entrepreneur, born in 1909, who founded the construction conglomerate Camargo Corrêa in 1939. Under his leadership, the company grew to become one of the largest construction firms in Brazil, known for its involvement in major infrastructure projects like the Itaipu Dam. Despite his significant contributions to the Brazilian economy, the company faced severe challenges in later years, notably due to scandals associated with the Lava Jato operation.
