Seidu Alidu Mahama

Professor Seidu Alidu Mahama is a Ghanaian academic and politician affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He recently gained prominence after being declared the Member of Parliament for the Tamale Central Constituency, following an unopposed election due to the withdrawal of other candidates. His election marked a significant event in Ghana's political landscape, as he became the first parliamentary candidate to be elected unopposed under the Fourth Republic. Prof. Alidu's election came in the wake of a by-election triggered by the tragic death of the former MP, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.
