Senait Mebrehtu

Senait Mebrehtu is a Pentecostal Christian Eritrean mother who sought asylum in Kenya three years ago, fleeing religious persecution. She traveled to Lake Turkana to mourn her 14-year-old daughter, Hiyab, who drowned while attempting to cross into Kenya with the help of smugglers.
