Seraven Pinas

Seraven Pinas is a local artist and cultural guide in Moengo, Suriname, who actively shares his knowledge of the marron culture and wintigeloof with visiting artists. He has been instrumental in connecting Dutch artists Edwin Zwakman and Yiyi Chen with the local community, helping them to understand the rich cultural narratives of the area. Pinas also engages in artistic exchanges, teaching traditional stories and practices that reflect the heritage of his ancestors.
