Sergey Borisovich Zavorotny is a Ukrainian political figure who previously served as the press secretary to Mykola Azarov, the pro-Russian prime minister of Ukraine, before fleeing to Russia after the Euromaidan protests. He has been involved in facilitating financial support for individuals associated with pro-Russian sentiments, including aiding Elena Berezhnaya, a Ukrainian arrested for high treason, by coordinating funds from the Kremlin-linked Pravfond to assist her legal and medical needs.
