Sergey Nagovitsyn was a Russian mountaineer who tragically passed away in 2019 from a stroke at an altitude of 6,900 meters while climbing in the same mountain range where his wife, Natalya Nagovitsyna, continues to climb. His legacy lives on through Natalya, who commemorated him by placing a memorial plaque at the summit of Khan Tengri.
