Sergiy Mykhailenko

Sergiy Mykhailenko is a 27-year-old Ukrainian soldier and a member of the Azov regiment who defended Mariupol during the Russian invasion. After sustaining serious injuries and losing contact with his wife, he was captured and faced illegal imprisonment, including a sham trial and torture while held in Siberia. On February 5, 2024, he was part of a significant prisoner exchange that secured his release along with other detained soldiers.
