Sergiy Shishi Sokolovsky

Sergiy Shishi Sokolovsky is a Ukrainian sumo wrestler who has made significant strides in the sport since moving to Japan in 2020. Originally from Melitopol, he has represented Ukraine at the amateur level, winning gold at the European Championships and earning multiple medals at the World Championships. He competes in the top division of sumo, known as makuuchi, and is recognized for his performances, including a 9-6 record at the January Hatsu Basho. Recently, he was appointed as a one-day head of the tax office in Izumisano, Osaka, to promote tax declaration awareness among the Japanese public.
