Serik Sairov

Serik Sairov is a prominent Kazakh specialist in hydrology, known for his expertise in land hydrology, hydrological calculations, and water resource assessment. He has a significant academic background, having earned a Ph.D. in geographical sciences with a focus on hydrology and water chemistry. Over his career, he has held various positions, including serving as the first deputy general director of 'Kazhydromet' prior to being appointed as the head of the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Water Management in 2023. He is also involved in international efforts regarding the management and protection of transboundary rivers and contributes to scientific literature as a deputy editor for a hydrometeorology journal.
