Shah Azizur Rahman

Shah Azizur Rahman was a significant political figure during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, serving as a member of the cabinet under Abdul Motaleb Malik in East Pakistan. He was known for his opposition to the independence movement and served as a prominent representative of Pakistan at the United Nations during the war. Recently, he was mentioned in the news due to the renaming of Sheikh Mujibur Hall at Islamic University to Shah Azizur Hall, as part of a directive from the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education aimed at changing the names of institutions associated with former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family.
